I tend to combine one big (family, home, health) and a few small things to practise daily gratitude (a conversation, something I read, something I did) … Small actions when identified as a source of even the tiniest of joy – are easier to repeat and many such actions together go some way in mimicing the happiness of big things (for me personally). Yes, I'm quite specific.
