How has being grateful helped you?

Being grateful has helped me with my view about myself and others. For example, being grateful for food, shelter, family and small things, really changes your perception, your view on different subjects becomes more positive and you, as a human being, have peace with everything. To be grateful means to appreciate everything you can. We tend to have these high expectations, and, learning to be grateful really humbles us in the best way.
