When you decide upon a cleaning task becoming part of your daily habits, do you stick to the same cleaning task each day or do you consider the task done if you’ve done any cleaning task & you vary the actual task each day?

I do a different cleaning task each day. I actually tackle cleaning one room at a time, so I consider the task complete once I am satisfied with a room. At a bare minimum, the floors need to be picked up of clutter. I then try to tidy the counters or table/desk surfaces.

If I still have time, then I complete some actual cleaning, such as dusting, vacuuming, clean the baseboards near the floor, or dust and wipe down the blinds, etc.

I actually created for my home what I can the “dice game.” Basically, you first list each room of your house and then assign each room a number. Then roll 1, 2, or 3 die and clean that room first. This also creates a feeling of “win” because when you keep rolling the same number on subsequent days, I still go ahead and check that room (even if I did it yesterday), tidy/clean it if necessary, but I might only spend 5 min in there and then roll again and move onto another room. Helps create a sense of accomplishment. Good luck!! 🍀
