When is best to eat ….before or after exercise and what types of food?

For me i usually do fasted cardio on a morning as i like to have a full breakfast and prefer morning workouts. But on the days when i do mid-morning workouts i have a small bowl of overnight oats with chia seeds early as i wake up to fuel my body after all the repair work its been doing as i slept as well as to give me some fuel and protein to use as i head in to start my day
