When cleaning your room, how long should it normally take?
The time it takes to clean your room can vary based on its size and the level of clutter. A general guideline is to allocate 30 minutes to an hour for a thorough clean. To develop lasting healthy habits, consider breaking the task into smaller, manageable rituals. For example, spend 10 minutes tidying up daily, which can help maintain a clean and organized space without overwhelming you. Consistency is key in creating routines that support your overall well-being and productivity.
I feel it depends on how dirty the room is overall and to what extent it is cleaned. If we are talking a deep clean, where you would change all the bedding, rotate the mattress, steam and vacuum the carpet, dust the windows, put clothes away(clean and dirty) then easily a couple hours. How ever, id you were to just do a simple thing, maybe one task a day, then I’d say around 30 minutes.
It really all depends on how messy your room is and how fast you move when cleaning. It takes me forever because I procrastinate and then when I do clean, I’m not motivated.
I believe it should take 25-30 minutes to 45 depending on how big the room is & so you can reorganise everything in & around your room.
Honestly, it depends on what you’re cleaning and how dirty it is. For example, it took me about a day to clean my floor in my bedroom, however it was on and off so in total it took maybe 4 hours but that was because I hadn’t cleaned it in over 5 months due to a depressive episode. Cleaning my bedside table would’ve taken less time, maybe an hour tops if it was really dirty, but it’s a smaller area.
5 to 10 minutes. Start with the easy stuff, garbage, dishes, laundry. I try to clear the floor and surfaces. Stuff back to their places.
