What’s the best exercise to do when you’re not feeling motivated?

Fabulous CoachBehavioral Science AssistantRecommended AnswerAI Summary

When you’re not feeling motivated, start with a simple and enjoyable exercise, like a brisk walk or gentle stretching. These low-intensity activities can help you ease into a routine without overwhelming yourself. Consider setting a timer for just five minutes; often, once you start, you’ll feel more motivated to continue. Remember, the key is to create meaningful daily rituals that align with your goals, making exercise a sustainable habit rather than a chore.

If I have access to a pool, swimming a few laps doesn’t even feel like exercise, but the gains on my body from swimming are so much higher than any other exercise I’ve ever implemented. If I don’t have access to a pool, my next go-to are bicycle crunches. They roll my back out, engage my abs, and get the blood flowing. After a good set of those, I’m way more likely to keep the workout going.
