My favorite in the past has been turkey sausage, sweet potato, onion, and egg. First you brown a pound of sausage in a pan with about half an onion, chopped. You chop up one sweet potato into pretty small chunks, about half an inch, and put that on a baking sheet. Add the turkey and onion to the sweet potato, then crack four eggs on top and bake at 425 for about 20 min. Surprisingly it reheats in the microwave really well and the egg doesn’t get very rubbery. I divide it into 4 servings and it’s a fair amount of protein to start the day!

I cut up veggies the night before and have them ready to pop on the stove… then I sauté for a minute or two, add two eggs, and it’s ready to go in a matter of minutes! Another option is Greek yogurt (plain) with fruit that I add myself.

I use a low calorie protein shake. Use 8 ounces of crushed ice, 8 ounces of milk and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. And you have an awesome milkshake.

Fruit is good. Something easy to travel with in case you don't have time to sit and eat like me. Grapes and apple slices are a good example. Also, 2 hardboiled eggs. You can cook them the night before and refrigerate them so you can take them on the go. I would also add some mixed nuts to get some grain in your diet. Keep it simple first thing in the morning. 😄

Bacon and egg poppers
Take turkey bacon and form it to fit the circles of a muffin pan, beat a egg (or egg whites only) and pour seasoned eggs into the middle of the muffin pan.
Add cheese, diced peppers, whatever you which as a topper. Bake 20 min at 375 degrees. Enjoy!

I scramble or fry a couple of eggs and sautée a handful of greens (usually a mix of kale and spinach) in olive oil. When I’m in a rush, I make a protein smoothie.
