What is the best way to make porridge?

So, I mostly take around 30g of oats put them in a pot with either 75ml of light milk+ 75ml water or 150ml of plant based milk, because I can’t handle too much lactose! Then I add Chia Seeds and dates or bananas and cook until it thickens, my favorite hack is to add frozen berries when your porridge is still hot, it just tastes 100x better!!! I also stir in vanilla protein powder when it is done cooking, it adds extra protein and a delicious flavour. When I feel like it, I like adding yogurt or kefir at the end! It tastes heavenly!!!

Here’s a simple and tasty way to make classic porridge (oatmeal style):

Ingredients:

1 cup oats (rolled or quick oats)

2 cups water or milk (or 1 cup water + 1 cup milk for creaminess)

A pinch of salt

Optional: sugar, honey, cinnamon, fruits, or nuts

Steps:

1. Boil liquid: In a pot, bring the water/milk and a pinch of salt to a boil.

2. Add oats: Stir in the oats and reduce the heat to low.

3. Simmer: Let it simmer for about 5–10 minutes (depends on the type of oats), stirring occasionally so it doesn’t stick.

4. Sweeten and flavor: Once thick and soft, add sugar, honey, cinnamon, or anything you like.

5. Top it: Add sliced bananas, apples, raisins, or a bit of butter for richness.

Would you like a specific type? Like semolina porridge, rice porridge, or millet?
