What do you do, when in the middle of doing sports you feel it m psychologically unbearable
When you find exercise psychologically unbearable, it’s important to pause and assess your feelings. Consider why you’re feeling this way: Are you pushing too hard? Are your expectations unrealistic? Take a moment to breathe and refocus. You can also try modifying the activity to something more enjoyable or less intense. Remember, exercise should be a positive experience that contributes to your well-being. Creating a supportive routine with manageable goals can help you build resilience and make exercise a sustainable habit.
I do not compete in sports as I am 55 and exercise mainly for health and connection with friends/fsmily. I do hike alone at times and there are moments when I have taken off on a trail that has proved to be more physically demanding than I anticipated. I often experience anxiety about what might happen if I needed someone and I was alone. These situations present to me and I have leaned into breathwork. Mindfulness as in body scan and asking what I see, feel, smell, touch. I remind myself I have my phone and I only hike when I tell others where I will be. I also share my location with a friend.
