What do you do to get motivated to exercise?
To get motivated to exercise, start by setting clear, achievable goals that resonate with you. Create a daily ritual around your workout, such as exercising at the same time each day. Incorporate enjoyable activities, like dancing or hiking, to make it fun. Additionally, consider habit stacking by pairing exercise with something you already do, like a morning coffee. Remember, consistency is key—focus on building a routine that supports your overall well-being and aligns with your personal goals.
My motivation comes from sounds, having a song play in my headphones motivates to me to move around. Every rhythm counts!
I decide on a fixed schedule, like going to the gym every Tuesday and Thursday. Having already decided up front means that I won’t make up excuses for myself and postpone again and again… Or, lower the expectations by deciding that just a short exercise every day, e.g. a short walk or a 7-min workout in the living room, is better than doing nothing at all.
