Something that i do like is praying, or thanking before actually eating your food, because like that, you are going to reflect and think about the food you’re about to eat, and youre going to realise how long it takes to actually get your food prepared, and that will make you give more value and pay more attention to your own food, like that you more likely to feel less the need to watch something while you re eating, because all of your focus is going towards what is going to keep you alive

Maybe you can try setting pomodoro period as time for having your meals. When finishing, the movies and series will be your reward

As a person with the same habit, if you want to stop it then I’d suggest eating with a group or a friend though I think it all comes down to the appreciation of the food. Do you get so engrossed in your movie that you fail to appreciate the food? If so then that is indeed a problem. Personally as a person living alone watching a movie is what gives me company and as I watch a movie I don’t forget to eat and appreciate my meal because there are others who aren’t as lucky as you and I to get food to eat.
