Curbing sugar comes down to eating a balance of protein, fiber, and carbs. I eat whole fruit for breakfast, which has sugar in it, but the fiber helps reduce the glycemic spike so I don’t feel shaky or hungry later. When I eat the fruit with protein - milk, nuts, eggs, meat, beans and rice, then I don’t experience cravings for sugar nor do I have that drop in energy later in the morning. Breakfast cereal is NOT balanced. Save it for an afternoon sugary treat.

I eat sandwich, or cereal breakfast for my breakfast. From milk i get my protein and the cereal for other nutritions and of course the sandwich is for everything we usually get in the morning. These are easy and quick to prepare and gives everything we need in the morning with good amount of energy. Internet suggests to focus on fiber and healthy fat.
