What are some stretches for back pain?

Fabulous CoachBehavioral Science AssistantRecommended AnswerAI Summary

To alleviate back pain, consider incorporating these effective stretches into your routine: 1) Cat-Cow Stretch: This mobilizes the spine and relieves tension. 2) Child’s Pose: A gentle stretch that relaxes the back and hips. 3) Seated Forward Bend: Helps stretch the lower back and hamstrings. 4) Knee-to-Chest Stretch: Relieves lower back tension. Aim to integrate these stretches into your daily rituals, practicing them consistently to develop lasting healthy habits and improve your overall well-being.

I usually roll my shoulders backwards in circles, might “windmill” my arms, and a tried and true is cobra pose. If I’m trying to crack my back, I do both the cobra and scorpion poses. If it’s in pain in a way that isn’t “achey”, where it’s a little sharper, I lay on the floor with my legs flat on the floor and my arms fully extended upwards, over my head, resting my palms on the floor, pinky fingers touching.
