I’ve been making it happen by cooking the same breakfast every morning: 3 over easy eggs with cheese, 4 strips of bacon, a peanut butter and banana tortilla wrap, and small bowl of cereal. I’m on a very tight budget right now, but would love to add some variety before my morning workout!
It’s great to hear you’re committed to a healthy breakfast routine! To add variety on a budget, consider mixing up your protein sources. Try scrambled eggs with spinach one day, or oatmeal with fruit and nuts another. You can also experiment with different whole grain wraps or swap bacon for beans for a plant-based option. Incorporating seasonal fruits and veggies can enhance nutrition and flavor without breaking the bank. Remember, small changes can lead to lasting habits!
I find that cottage cheese or Greek yogurt is a great high protein way to fuel your body. Switch it up with different fruits and granola on top to keep from getting in a food rut
I subscribe to steel cut oat porridge with seeds, fruit and yoghurt pluss eggs on the side. Maybe you could switch out bacon and cheese with some cheaper (and healthier) proteins on weekdays?
