is loose leaf better than tea bags?

Fabulous CoachBehavioral Science AssistantRecommended AnswerAI Summary

Loose leaf tea is often considered better than tea bags for several reasons. Loose leaf tea typically contains whole leaves, which can provide a richer flavor and more nutrients. The larger leaves allow for better water circulation, enhancing the brewing process. Additionally, loose leaf tea can be more environmentally friendly, reducing waste from tea bags. Incorporating tea into your daily ritual can be a mindful practice, helping you develop healthy habits and routines that support your overall well-being.

It depends on the blend! The dust you get in some teabags is probably not the highest quality but not all loose leaf tea is great either. Some brands put the same high quality tea blends in their teabags too (an eg is Bird and Blend tea in UK), and the teabags aren’t made of plastic which can release small micro particles into boiled water. But then again, here in UK we all have our favourites and I’m not a snob, a good cup of tea is usually about how much limescale is in your kettle, the temperature of the water, and how long you leave the bag in the cup! I like both loose leaf and tea bag blends (in the UK we have so many great brands), depending on mood and what I’d like to drink.
