I did try new routines, healthy habits but I was loosing steam too. Really fast. Yoga – two times a week? After a month wasn’t attending anymore. 15 min exercises? Didn’t last a week.
I overdid on start. Didn’t have any joy from it.
Now I start simple and gentle. Baby steps changes are better as they are small, little impact, but in the end consistency matters and this is how progress starts.
The most important is: find joy in what you do. If you hate it, you’ll fight yourself. If you enjoy it, it will be effortless. My example: for exercises I was playing a turn based games. When it was computers turn – I had been doing push-ups or burpees. When I was very sleepy in the morning – I just started to raise my leg, to give my body a boost to wake up from this little movement. It’s almost like nothing, a little to enjoy, but nothing to fight.
Enjoy!
