I’m an ex-vegetarian who started eating meat again. It goes against my feeling of what’s right and wrong but I find myself craving meat during the day. How can I change my breakfast choices to be able to abstain from meat?
To change your breakfast choices and abstain from meat, focus on creating satisfying, protein-rich alternatives. Incorporate legumes, tofu, or eggs if you’re open to them. Experiment with whole grains, fruits, and healthy fats to build balanced meals that nourish you. Establish a morning ritual around your new breakfast habits, perhaps by planning your meals the night before. This way, you can align your choices with your values while satisfying your cravings in a healthier way.
I have veggie weeks and find that alternative sources of protein that have been seasoned and spiced well definitely helps. Are there any rubs or marinades that you use on meat that you could use in your vegetarian meals?
Find what exactly your body craves. When I crave meat, it’s usually sodium, something salty, maybe protein. Try a protein bar and salted roasted almonds or even chips ^^.
