Ideas for getting a great breakfast in as a working parent with little kids if I want to eat with them? I feel I need to eat alone before everyone to get a healthy breakfast. I’d love to eat together. If I wait though, usually I end up snacking as I cook, running out of time to eat because I’m getting everyone else to, and/or eating what my kids don’t want.

As a working parent, it can be challenging to prioritize a healthy breakfast while managing little ones. Consider preparing simple, nutritious breakfast options the night before, like overnight oats or smoothie packs. Involve your kids in the process by letting them help with easy tasks, making it a fun ritual. Set aside a few minutes each morning to eat together, focusing on balance and enjoyment. This not only models healthy habits but also creates meaningful family time around the breakfast table.

You can maybe cook breakfast at the same time you cook dinner so you can just reheat it in the morning and eat with everybody. You can also prepare meals for the whole week, and have them already served in their portions in the fridge. I’m not sure what you’re schedule of sleep and wake and work is though, or how many members of the family there is. But if it were me I would just make breakfast the night before, and make it big enough to last
