I will probably have to transition into a night run come winter, and I usually only run in warmer weather… So I need to transition and I’m trying to figure out some ways to stay motivated and that make it easier to run in the cold and in the dark.. ideas??
Transitioning to night runs in winter can be challenging, but here are some tips to stay motivated: 1) Dress in layers to stay warm and comfortable. 2) Set specific goals for your runs to create accountability. 3) Use reflective gear to enhance visibility and safety. 4) Find a running buddy to share the experience. 5) Create a pre-run ritual, like listening to energizing music or practicing a quick warm-up routine. By establishing these habits, you can enjoy your runs even in the cold and dark!
Be sure to dress according to the weather. Don’t force yourself for a long distance. If You skip any day reduce the distance or duration, you will feel it’s in my comfort zone. If you miss 3-4 days or arround a week try to run just for 8-10 mins. If anyday if you feel tied or lazy then just try to walk for 10 mins. Don’t miss anyday. You can walk in your room or on terece also just don’t skip. You will feel better and motivated then you can easily try for longer. Thank you! 🙏😊
