I set a timer for 20 mins and work on one room only. I try to get as much done as I possibly can in that amount of time. It’s kind of like a game for me and makes things more fun. I have four kids and things are always chaotic but taking that 20 mins to clean a room helps so much. Then I’ll either do another room for 20 mins. Or I’ll just do a 15 minute tidy with my kids for the whole house. It’s really just finding what works for you.

Set a timer for 15 minutes and work on cleaning counters and sinks . First put away any condiments i don’t use every day, starting on the left and moving around the countertops to the right. After 15 minutes is up and I am not overwhelmed then continuing far another 15 minutes but only if needed.

Pick the things that matter most when you are limited on time or energy or motivation to clean. Do you need to vacuum your room to succeed tomorrow or do you need to clean your only pan so you can cook yourself healthy meal? Do you need to clean the bathroom to wash your face tomorrow or should you fold your work uniform so you don’t have to waste time finding it in the morning? Pick your battles before you fall into that self doubt spiral. Make a list of everything that you need to do to set yourself up for success tomorrow and the things that would be nice, but are not a priority. Today do the minimum so tomorrow you have time to do the extra.
