I love dancing and I know if I would lose my over weight (need to lose 140 lbs) it would have a significant and positive impact in so many levels. I have no problem to dance 18 hours in one day, but I can’t force myself to even do 2 minutes of anything, even during this lockdown times. How do I start changing my identity (internal behavior) so that I start doing it?
To start changing your identity and build a routine around exercise, begin by embracing small, achievable goals. Instead of focusing on the 140 lbs, commit to dancing for just 2 minutes a day. Celebrate this small win to reinforce your positive identity as someone who enjoys movement. Gradually increase your time as you build momentum. Create a ritual around your dance sessions, setting specific times and environments that inspire you. Remember, consistency is key in developing lasting habits that lead to significant lifestyle changes.
