I am about to have my period but I really want to continue with my exercise routine, should I take pain medication and go for my workout or rest?
It’s important to listen to your body during your period. If you experience significant discomfort, consider resting or engaging in light exercise, such as stretching or walking, instead of your usual workout. Pain medication can help, but ensure it doesn’t mask serious pain. Establishing a routine that accommodates your cycle can promote lasting healthy habits. Prioritize self-care and adjust your exercise routine to maintain balance while achieving your fitness goals.
I get what you’re saying. Every month the three days of my period are disastrous. I usually lie around the house on the first day...but there are days even the first day when I want to go for a walk, do simple exercises or just dance around the house. Honestly, listen to your body. I was told not to do anything strenuous when on my period. So if you really have to work out, just do simple workouts, yoga, walk around the block or dance around the house.
