How much protein should you have for breakfast verses carbohydrate or does it matter

Angela E.
I would guess that you probably need about the same. For one, I do know that most people need more protein in their diet, especially compared to their carbohydrate intake. But, I think having a lot of protein helps keep you satiated throughout the day.

It depends on your goal, if your goal is to build muscle, you should eat both copious amounts of protein and carbohydrates to fuel your body for your goal. If your goal is to loose fat, eating lean proteins and less carbohydrates works. I always look at my plate and divide it: a quarter should be protein, another quarter or a fifth of the plate should be carbs, and finally the rest should be vegetales.
