How much do you cross train? I keep doing the same thing all the time.
Cross-training is essential for developing a balanced fitness routine and preventing burnout. Aim to incorporate different types of exercise at least 1-2 times a week. This could include activities like swimming, cycling, or strength training, which can enhance your overall performance and keep your workouts fresh. By varying your routine, you’ll not only improve your physical capabilities but also foster a more enjoyable exercise experience. Remember, consistency and variety are key to lasting healthy habits!
Currently I do not cross train. After my husband’s lengthy illness, I am experiencing muscle atrophy. For the time being, I only walk and use a gazelle sprint master to rebuild muscle strength. Once I can do these things without muscle soreness , I intend to begin a weight lifting program at a local gym.
