To start 3-5 minutes, then 10 minutes once you are comfortable doing it.

For those starting out I’d say 10-15 minutes daily. That it be a daily practice is more important than the time one commits to the practice.

I believe it depends on the practice. I’ve been using Emily Fletcher’s Z Technique which is 15 minutes of mindfulness and meditation, and 2 of manifestation. All of that is done twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, to keep a stream of energy through the day and avoid the slump. It is great for me as a very busy human who also hates getting up in the morning. It is designed to be used on the go if necessary and modified based on need.

I don’t think there’s one right answer to this. It really depends on where you are on your meditation journey, whether you’re new to it or you’ve been doing it for a while. And even then I believe each day is different. Sometimes 10min is enough for me and sometimes I need to sit for 30, 40 mins to get that fresh start I’m seeking .

It’s more important for me to do it every day, than to do it well everyday. So I choose a practical time: 10-15 minutes. If I have the time then I extend it. But if you have a lot of time then I’d say the optimal time is however long it takes for you to become relaxed and focused. However long it takes for your mind to quieten.

I aim for 10 to 15 minute sessions. My goal is twicedaily. Any longer and i get distracted. Shorter i feel i can’t get into it. But we’re all different!

Slightly longer than you are comfortable with. Or if time is tight, use however much time you have.
