How do you tell yourself it is time for bed and then follow through
To signal it’s time for bed, establish a consistent bedtime ritual. Start winding down at least 30 minutes prior, dim the lights, and engage in relaxing activities like reading or meditation. Set reminders on your phone to help you stick to this routine. Visualize the benefits of a good night’s sleep, and remind yourself of your goals for the next day. By creating a calming environment and reinforcing the importance of rest, you’ll find it easier to follow through on your intention to disconnect and unplug at night.
I’m a person who gets tired early, so I just go to bed when I feel tired. But sometimes I stay up late. I don’t want to, but it just happens. I know sleep is important, and I don’t want to get less than 10 hours sleep on the weekends. As for the normal days of the week when I have school, I have an alarm to go to bed, so I don’t come up with excuses where I’ll say “just five more minutes” because I HATE when I do that.
