Focus on your breath, you can use a mantra in your mind as simple as ‘In’ on your inhale and ‘Out’ on your exhale, or any words you like. I often use ‘Calm’ . When your mind wanders, and it will wander, celebrate that you get to train it and focus it back to your breath. Your mind is programmed to wander, analyse and predict to keep you safe, it’s just doing its job. Like a guard dog barking at the postman, the dog just sees potential threat and sounds the alarm, but you can train your dog and your mind.
