How do you keep your rutines when u are sick, tired or just sad? Thats where i always fail ..

How i keep up with my routines is reminding myself that I have to move and keep going. I have to get moving no body else will but me and that’s the good thing about it .

To be honest, it is the thrill of having a better me for the future, with a long journey, can come a great success. Along the way, don’t be humble, be proud of how far you go and far you have gone. Using this, you can develop greater, better, and healthier habits. So you got this! -Stranger who believes in you!

For me, personally, I always try to remember how it was before I started this journey. How I was always “too tired” to do it and tell myself that this is the exact scenario I am working to permanently remove. I want to keep my routines really daily. That sorta always gets me. If not, there’s always just the mental “3, 2, 1 and stand up and just go” countdown that’s my plan B lol. As for sick though, not sure. I haven’t been sick in a looong time but I would just try to tell myself that I’ll feel better at least mentally with a washed face, teeth, or whatever your routine is then all sick-ey… I hope you have a great rest of your day/night, fellow Fabulous user.

I do that too some days I will say I’m not doing anything today, but if I can’t just lay around all day then I will tell myself once you get moving you’ll feel so much better

You can keep your routines by just doing the things you can. Choose the easy things and ignore the rest. Say to yourself, I’m just doing what I can today and I’ll pick those other things up again as soon as I can. Having a day off is not failing.

I have two versions of my routine. One is basic, and one is for when I have the energy and mental capability to do more. So my basic morning routine is set up with an alarm and includes things like brush my teeth, take my meds, eat a healthy breakfast. Things I have to do. Then I have a “bonus morning routine” that doesn’t have an alarm with things that I do when I feel capable. Meditate, make my bed, etc.

Give yourself small steps to take.. get into a routine that sets you up for success.. such as- laying your clothes out for the next day, planning your meals so you don’t have to cook more than once a week, set minutes for your time on the internet, and set reasonable goals. Just think of it as steering in a New direction..*don’t try to make huge changes – baby steps! 🙏🏼☺️

I too find it hard to continue my routines when I’m sad, sick, tired and especially when I’m burnt out. The best tip I have to lower screen time even though it can feel hard, but also not to push yourself too much and to make adjustments to make sure you can still do the routines but also making sure your not making yourself more sad sick or burnt out.
