How do you keep going week after week e.g. to the gym?

It’s like building habits, so just create a schedule for exactly when you want to do something and then stick to it and then eventually it will just be apart of your routine.

I just recently started and I find that simplifying it helps. 5 min on the treadmill, 3 sets of 12 on any workout I do. Then I rest and do it again. If I can do more, I do it. If I can’t, I don’t. I also make sure to go with my friends or my sibling. We switch of together, laugh at how awkward the exercise is, and comment that it feels like a roller coaster when it does. Instead of treating it like a chore, treat it like an adventure that you get to decide its intensity; before you know it, an hour has passed. If there’s a workout you don’t like, then don’t do it. Giving yourself freedom to breathe, think, and choose even in a set routine like the gym makes your experience dynamic and for me, it’s what keeps me going. At the end of the day, I’m proud that I showed up and did what I could do. My dream is to one day be a gym rat like those I see when I go. We’ve got this 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
