How do you get yourself to a exercise class in the morning? It’s a mental struggle for me?
Getting to an exercise class in the morning can indeed be a mental struggle. Start by creating a positive morning ritual that excites you about the class. Lay out your workout clothes the night before and set a motivating alarm. Consider finding an accountability partner to join you, making it a social event. Visualize how good you’ll feel after the class. Remember, consistency is key; the more you attend, the easier it becomes. Focus on building this habit as part of your routine to achieve your fitness goals.
I can relate to that. I missed so many exercise classes because I forgot or I got busy or I became distracted. So I use videos that I can watch at home whenever I get around to them. It’s not optimal. I prefer to have regularity and social interaction at regular classes. Someday I will get there. But for now I accommodate my underdeveloped self-discipline by using videos.
Honestly, I don’t. I choose to exercise when it works in my day which varies. On days when I’m not working I may exercise in late morning, or on work days usually in the late afternoon or early evening. It has to fit your schedule, your body clock & actually be sustainable & repeatable. It’s kind of like having your buy an entire outfit to work around a pair of shoes. If you have to rethink your entire life to make that morning class , maybe that’s timing doesn’t really suit you comfortably.
I actually exercise in the afternoon. The morning for me is to eat breakfast, to plan the day and get some chores done. I do however take 10 min to do some yoga and might walk up and down the hallway to get my steps in.
