How do you get back to an exercise routine after stopping for a while (say a month)? I used to find joy in going to the gym to work a sweat but now it seems more like a burden especially when it’s crowded.
Getting back to your exercise routine after a break can be challenging, but it’s important to approach it with patience. Start by setting small, achievable goals to rekindle your joy in fitness. Consider exercising during quieter times at the gym or exploring outdoor activities to avoid crowds. Focus on creating a meaningful daily ritual around your workouts, such as pairing exercise with a favorite podcast or music. This can help transform exercise from a burden into a rewarding part of your day.
I slowly start to do 5 to 10- minute exercises at home, then move this up to 15 minutes or so, my way of getting ready for the gym.
