How do you exercise even when you really don’t feel like it? I try and just struggle through or do a bit but it can be difficult
It’s common to struggle with motivation to exercise. Start by setting small, achievable goals, like a 5-minute walk or stretching. Create a routine that incorporates these mini-exercises into your day, making them feel less daunting. Consider pairing exercise with something enjoyable, like listening to music or a podcast. Remember, consistency is key; even short sessions add up over time. Celebrate your efforts, and gradually increase your activity as you build momentum. You’ve got this!
It is OK to take some time off from exercising. But I struggle with this too. It’s a mindset and you just have to push through it and say this is for me. And when I do that, I feel better so that’s what keeps me motivated to keep working out. Sometimes when I’m feeling like that, I call a friend or have my partner kind of help me go for a run or for a walk but definitely it’s a mindset. I hope this helps.
I visualise the type of person that I want to be, and that is someone who exercises regularly and takes care of her body. By doing that I tell myself that I’m getting one step closer to my ideal self. I also want to celebrate what my body is capable of doing and to show it love.
