Wheelchair users should be able to engage in various exercises to main fitness and well-being, including arm circles, chair aerobics, rowing, water exercise, and resistance band training. Modifying versions of familiar exercises like basketball and boxing can also be adapted for seated practice. Activities like seated yoga, Tai chi, and pilates can improve flexibility strength and balance. One can also ask a physical therapist to give suggestions to strengthen weak areas.
