Hey guys, I wanted to ask if it’s safe to do neck rolls right away after waking up. I heard that it’s better to just move your head up-down, left-right(diagonally and horizontally). What do you think?

It’s great that you’re focusing on your neck health as part of your morning routine! While neck rolls can be beneficial for flexibility, it’s best to start with gentle movements like nodding your head up and down or turning it side to side to warm up the muscles. Once you feel more comfortable, you can gradually incorporate neck rolls. Always listen to your body and stop if you feel any discomfort. Building a mindful stretching routine each morning can set a positive tone for your day!

I always roll my neck in the morning since I’m very stiff, but it is easier to first look to the sides and tilt your head and all that, I think you should continue with firstly look different directions then roll. Hope this helps. ( it is probably not dangerous, sounds like just hearsay)

Depends on your level of comfort and ability. Likely best to ease into it either way, starting with simple movements and getting deeper as you warm up and your flexibility and strength increase over time. Remember, something is better than nothing!

I do neck rolls in yoga but never all the way in a circle always just side to side. Ear to shoulder ear to shoulder the other way
