Do you have any advice for someone picking up running for the first time?
Absolutely! When starting running, focus on consistency rather than speed. Begin with a mix of walking and jogging, gradually increasing your running time. Set achievable goals, like running for 10 minutes without stopping, and celebrate small victories. Establish a routine by scheduling your runs at the same time each week to create a meaningful ritual. Don’t forget to listen to your body and rest when needed. Remember, building a running habit takes time, so be patient and enjoy the journey!
To be honest, I’d say that always start with a warm up. No matter what. Now, start slow, and short. Running isn’t for everyone
