I do not exercise at night. I think it depends on the kind of exercise, stretching or yoga are very different from an intense workout. I sometimes practice qigong at night and I feel nicely relaxed afterwards.
I find that it makes me more tired, which helps me fall asleep faster, but I wouldn’t recommend exercising at night every time because it can make you hungry, thirsty, or hyperactive when you want to actually go to sleep.
