Different sources tell us different facts but having a little and high energy snack an hour before my exercise and a high protein snack after my workout gave me the best outcome.
After exercise. The reason is I have scheduled my routine for morning so first thing after drinking water and freshning up(brush,toilet,etc), I eat my breakfast. I have some morning workouts which require rigorous body movements. So if I eat before exercise it makes me nauseated and throwing up.
