Immediate relief:
Ice packs for 15-20 minutes several times daily if there’s inflammation or swelling
Over-the-counter anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen or naproxen (following package directions)
Rest and elevation when possible

Low-impact exercises like swimming, cycling, or water aerobics to strengthen surrounding muscles without stressing the joint
