Do you have a recommendation how to keep up the exercise habit while traveling? I stay a few months at one place to work and then I travel for another few months to see the country. It’s not difficult to build the routine while staying at one place, but usually I stop when I start moving around. They recommend not to rely on self discipline but rather have things constantly remind you to exercise but when moving every day to a different place that’s not so easy to do especially when you wanna travel light.

The hardest part is getting started, right? There are lots of activities that you can do while traveling like yoga, running, swimming. Even going to a local gym. If you’re packing light that means being intentional about you want to move while traveling and packing accordingly. Running shoes, a travel mat (woven styles are foldable for bags), bathing suit. Have your mat by your bed so you step on it first thing. Put your running shoes where you go first in the morning. Sleep in your bathing suit! Reduce friction wherever possible and plan for activities that don’t require a lot of equipment or logistics.
