What motivates you to stretch even when you don’t want to get out of bed?

Galilea N.
What motivates me is that it gives me peace of mind, and it gives me time to reflect and prepare for the day also it makes me feel better I feel lighter!
Rouven I.
If I am going to be late I know I have to do it, I am usually very motivated the night before but I am always so tired in the morning so not much motivated me
Cassandra O.
I use the alarm that is provided and I have continued with the stretching I’ve learned over the years in sports. Simple arm, leg and torso movements🧘🏼‍♀️
Eva C.
The satisfaction of a good stretch. And that cracking sound when you're back is stiff, for example.
Also relieves your muscles if you need to go straight to an office job, especially if you're working from home.
Sidney C.
I usually don't stretch until after I've had my water and I'm waiting to have my breakfast. It's a good way to unseize the joints and muscles
Atarah I.
Stretching gives me that warm, feel-good fuzz that helps to get my body ready for the day no matter what plans I have, whether that's long hours at work or staying at home.
Not only is it beneficial to your body, stretching also stimulates my mind and my blood rushing so that i can function well throughout.
It makes me feel more ready and accomplished even if it takes up at least five minutes of my time.
I hope this helped.
L Gio Q.
When I feel like I simply can't get out of bed, I take a sip of my water, look around the room and think of something that I love to do or who I love. This tells my brain that there is something worth getting up for and you need to get up to meet it or them again. Motivation isn't always key, it's the things around you what are the key to success.
L Nio N.
I realized that’s it’s ok to feel tired and it’s ok to want to give up. A little self talk like “let’s get up today it’ll pay off” can go a long way and when you wake up with a sense of self-awareness you’ll notice that it’s not so bad to just pull your legs out of those sheets and become someone new

There are many days like that, actually right now I’m struggling a lot to move my body, I have 0 motivation, so I didn’t force myself. I gave my body the break it wanted. Now I’m finally feeling like I wanna move again and that’s because I miss how good I was feeling after every workout/stretch.
Ian O.
One thing that motivates me to stretch even when i don’t want to get out of bed is, seeing videos or pictures of somebody else stretching and working on fitness
Sharon S.
Because I will feel better and get my day going faster. If I delay, I feel all things fall behind, then I get discouraged and it becomes harder.
Jian S.
Knowing that one day this hard work will pay off is the greatest motivation. If you REALLY don’t feel like it, just take a break but if u regularly neglect it, it's gonna bring reallly bad results. Remember your why. Count for 5 seconds and jump out of your bed. "Just 5 minutes." tell yourself. And after those 5 minuts, you can move on with your day. Those small accomplishments will make your dreams come true and remind yourself of how proud you'd feel when you made it. Close your eyes when you dont wanna get up, and 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..GET UP! Just for 5 minutes. Turn on a music that brings you up, makes you active. Splash cold water to your face JUST after you wake up and drink a WHOLE glass of water. Put it beside your alarm so that it’s easy to see. Eat something light or enegetic like a protein bar or a simple banana. Then start stretching and exercising. And please, tell yourself "Thank you" each time you make these small accomplishments. You tried it out? I'm proud of you. LY, friend. Shock the world.
Geena Z.
My son Roman is growing up fast and almost 1. Each morning when I get up with him I don’t stretch, but when he goes to sleep I like to unwind. This helps when he wakes up. I also have tension when I wake up.. maybe a sore neck and belly aches. I know stretching relaxes these pains along with back pain
Emmy T.
I’m usually motivated by the natural habit of waking up with a fresh glass of water in the morning. Then I start simple by doing easy stretches, usually ones that still allow me to be in bed. This is a great way to start a routine so when you do begin stretching out of bed, you get up without feeling lazy or tired.
Jonathan J.
I know that I have big dreams out of bed and i can't get them in bed . So i need to be energetic for a new day
It makes e to get out of bed and stretch
Di O.
I’ve started with a 1 min daily stretch and set my mindset to get a great breakfasts as a reward after the stretch is complete. Also, I know my not to far away goal is to work out one or two hours a day, so I am working in building a movement habit, later I’ll work in make it for longer time. I try to remember I do this for myself, I do it to feel better and I do it in the mornings to have a better start. I do also try to remember how good it feels once stretch is complete.
Stella N.
Even when I don’t want to get out of bed, I understand that commitments are important throughout life and I made a commitment to stretch. If I don’t stretch I failed for that day and the rest of my day may suffer because of it.
Karola N.
I find something that motivates me to get out of bed but if you can’t find anything just do it bed. Of course it’s not as good of you would be out of bed but you can at least try. After a few seconds it will be very uncomfortable for you to stretch in bed so you will stand up and do ot correctly. Sometimes you need to trick yourself a little bit.
Lauren T.
I mostly just stretch in bed. You can use ur phone for a short stretch on YouTube. Start from your bed and you might build motivation and get out of bed.
Alice Z.
You don't have to get out of bed to stretch! Even if you can't sit up completely, there are a ton of stretches you can do while lying down.
Eufr Sio Q.
If I don't want to get out of bed, I do my stretches in bed. It helps me to at least sit up and if I sit up I might as well stand up.
Kitty N.
I set my stretch reminder for a time that is much later than I usually get out of bed so I don’t run into that problem. I expect I’d have a problem getting out of bed just to stretch. I find it’s easier to do if it doesn’t interfere with another busy part of the day if possible.
An Y.
I made myself promise that when i start this app i will follow it regularly since them provide of instructions and detail schedule. I only have a issue, which im capable of focusing for a long time but find it really difficult to make the first move (I procastinate a lot so that's why). So having schedule and daily reminders (since i always on my phone) helps solve my issue a lot. Thanks to this, im able to form a new habit, what needed for me to become who i want to be in the first place.
Ava F.
i remind myself how happy i will be with myself in a few months if i do it but if i don’t then i remind myself of the consequences such as becoming big but if i get out of my bed i will get the body and whatever else i want
Naia U.
I always think about myself as an inspiration. I chose myself to became an inspiration so in that way I won’t feel lazy cuz it’s for myself after all. Our mind is stronger than out body.
Miriah P.
I know I will feel more awake and ready for the day after I do. I do stretches that start in the bed!!

Try reaching out your arms and legs as wide as they go and they let the tension go x3.. Then squeeze in your legs, hold and release.

Then with your knees together, put them to your left side whilst facing right and then on your right side facing your left… Sit up slowly and put your feet together and feel your legs stretching…

Now you are ready to get up and do any further stretching you may want to 😊

Lamprini N.
Because I want to feel energized from the moment I woke up and don’t need to drink coffee to achieve it. It feels like a morning ritual that helps me kick my day
Everett P.
Knowing that I will feel better, more relaxed and more motivated throughout the day, and also, knowing that I committed to my goal even when I didn't felt like it, makes me believe that I'm capable of anything!! And the feeling is priceless!!!
Carlo Z.
I think I'm working on my self , and that's not enough, I don't negotiate with my self, just , just tell to my self dont meter what day is today your plan for today ,where are you and what's you have to do today you must complete this before to star whatever you have to do, after that you can party, drink , worck , stay in bed, I am open for everything, that feeling of power that I give myself like a price after I complete my task let me do it, and I help myself not like a night routine, I prepare myself telling not to the partys , to drink with my friends to stay late out of my home and it's hard but I understand one important thing I need me I have nobody for reach my dreams only me and i love me i talk to me over and over again i love me don't matter how many times i fall down , how many times i fail to myself l, sabotage myself, how many times lay to myself happens what happens I always always be there for me ,because I love me with all my heart and I'll support myself until the end, that thought time me the responsibility to have some one who can trust what ver happens and have the responsibility to corresponding that pure love.
My name is Carlo Michael but i call myself …
Jordan W.
It helps to wake me up and it feels good, though it almost feels like a reward and it just gets you going but idk it’s just that it’s something you know makes your day that much better.
Emmy Z.
A lot of things can motivate me to stretch. I think knowing I don't have a lot of time in this world so I want to keep myself healthy so I can travel when I'm older. The one thing that does motivate me is early in the morning, when the sun is just rising and no one is out of bed and knowing you have that whole day ahead of you. Stretch In the warm sun and you will start your day feeling refreshed. And one more thing motivates me.. When I don't want to get out of my bed I think to myself: "I am the only one who can control my actions and affect my future, others don't control that. I care and love myself."
Fel Cia Z.
Bcs i want start the day with a good habbits for morning spirit. I feel more energic in the morning, have a positive mind that today will be a good day. How about you?
Katrine C.
Today is a great example for this question, today I woke up and stayed put in bed because I didn’t want to get out of bed nor did I have the energy, so what I did was I decluttered my brain. Meaning I let go of everything that was bothering me for the moment. Then I slipped off my bed and just sat on my floor and stretched which woke me up. Reward yourself afterwards for the accomplishments you have already achieved today such as “stretch”
Morgan N.
What motivates me to stretch, even when I don’t want to get out of bed, is me visualizing my dream body and my desired lifestyle. I desire to be healthy, clean, exquisite, and extravagant-looking. When I stretch, it reminds me that everyday, I get closer and closer to this goal.
Diablo N.
Ease of movement starts from that moment. How willing am I to start with some small stretches to create a more limber day?
Sia O.
I just think about the day might go. It could be the best day of my life and that is the reason I stretch. Building a routine is the first step to a good day.
Art T.
I like to stretch while still in bed. I'm still warm under the covers so I haven't got the shock of cold yet. I can stretch out the cramps from sleeping before putting my weight on my legs. It gets my blood flowing so I'm more likely to get up, rather than falling back asleep. Feels invigorating
Emily E.
I have been doing my stretching after a short bit of exercise before bed. It allows me to cool down and stretch out my muscles and makes me feel more ready for sleep.
Dennis Z.
I had my hip replaced last September and my doctor said that I had to move. I think about how I couldn't move before. 🥰
Jessica P.
I stretch in bed naturally every morning. I have a condition where if I get up too quickly especially in the morning I can pass out. Stretching in bed is key and gives me less fear, anxiety, and bruises. 😂🙌🏻😉🥰 Baby steps and gentle loving kindness helps. Mornings are hard for me and I have to be kind to myself and my body.
Danny F.
Sometimes I stretch in bed, this reminds me how good it feels to be stretched and ready for the day, then I get up and stretch.
Chantelle E.
I wake up many morning not wanting to get out of bed, than I sit there and think of all the people who can't get out of bed, and I realise life is so precious and don't take anything for granted because you don't know how long you'll be able to do those things for.
Tobias A.
Is to keep my body in shape. I like to dance, and if there are days that I feel like not doing it, at least I can keep my shape by doing that!
Kim N.
Finding stretches I can do from bed— there are so many!!! One is “drawing” the alphabet with each of your feet— it doesn’t necessarily feel like a stretch, but it is 🙂
Celestia P.
The outcome. Imagining the positive results after doing this motivates me to keep going forward. Visioning my better self is what keeps me going. I remind myself of the greatness that I'll be once I established this routine. I focus on the results.
Sarah R.
I’ve recently gone back to stretching, however I am doing it throughout the day. Not as soon as I wake up. I have not reached that level yet. The reason why I am stretching again is because I recently started work and I have been sitting a lot. This has lead to neck and back pain. Stretching reminders are just so I move a bit and try to do something good for my body.
Naja Z.
When I don't want to get out of bed, I think, "I can stretch in bed!" I'll start with easy ones I can do laying down, and work my way up to ones while sitting. After stretching in bed, I'm more motivated to get out of bed.
Keyra N.
Cause stretching is easier than excersizing. At least do some simple stretching like stretching your back, neck, and raise your arms.
Mila Q.
I start stretching on the bed. I start by head and shoulders and make my way down, slowly. When i get to my legs I want to stretch standing up and I get out of bed whithout thinking too much about it
Hans Ulrich X.
Just getting out of bed and doing it! Not letting myself hit the snooze button helps, and keeping half an eye on he clock so I have a time limit for staying in bed. It is hard though- especially in winter when it’s cold!
Lacey Q.
So before I do stretch in the morning I take a sit of water and that really refreshes me and sort or gets me energized to start my day of with some nice stretching.
Shin Dee N.
If I dont feel like doing any stretching exercises at all, all I do is stretch my arms and back in any way I want, on the bed hahaha! And it does make me feel more refreshed after that.
Kyra G.
I think it’s just mind over muscle, and I won’t say I am successful 100% of the time either, but just knowing two things, I always feel better after I’ve stretched and I perform better when I do it consistently are what can push me to do it even when I don’t feel like it.
Felecia E.
Well, lately I have been sleeping in because it is summer for me. I first drink my water then I will go downstairs. Usually I think ok my body is soar. I get soar pretty easily from the workout the day before. So I tell myself that this is going to feel good and help me. Sometimes I turn on a T.V show or music to listen or watch. It helps me! So I hope this advice helped you.
Ed O.
I feel that it makes me feel more up and awake and ready to take the day on. It makes me feel in the mindset for completing my goals.
Sam N.
My puppy! Seeing his adorable little face wanting me to come out and play with him always gets me up and puts me in a good mood.
Emma O.
Well for me it’s about finding to will to get up. Once I find that and realize that I need to start my day I think about the things that will make my day better. I usually start with drinking one 16oz bottle of water to give my cells the hydration they need. Next, I stretch my calves, quads, shoulders, hamstrings, etc. These stretches make my body relaxed and relieves any tension I have in those muscles. That’s really all there is to it! Relieving the tension just makes your day a whole lot better!!
Sunny N.
The feeling of wanting to challenge myself and also feeling great that I was able to accomplish even if it’s a small step is one more step to creating greater habits in my daily routine
Ay E Q.
Its not something I can always do. But I want to escape the cycle of my depressive episodes, so I tell myself that stretching is a small step in the right direction. It only takes a minute after you manage to get out of bed. The hardest part is getting out of bed, but sometimes you have to remind yourself that life continues on as you lay in bed, doing nothing but staring at your walls. Once you start giving in to your depressive side, it'll take advantage of you and destroy you. I try my best to avoid it, even though I'm not successful most of the time.
Isa E.
I usually get up to stretch bcs ik that if I never start, every day it will be harder to do it, and if I maintain a habit, it'll be easier each time
S Lvia O.
That I want to be happy and feel good with myself, it only depends on you, nothing else, it's a choice you got to do everyday, between being lazy and keep being miserable or be active and happy even if you don't feel like it
I choose to be happy.
Holli N.
Knowing that my old coping mechanisms aren’t helping. Sure I could curl up and try to ignore the feeling or stuff them down under junk food, but I always end up back here. Getting up and doing something small but positive is a new thing to try.
Water Y.
Stretching makes me feel good. The looseness in my body, the relief once I’ve worked out a tight spot, the content feeling in my muscles? Music. The best part about stretching is that I (and anyone) can do it anywhere there’s at least a little space to move — in bed first thing after waking up, at my desk (there’s great desk stretches), on the carpet, or even waiting in line I can stretch my arm across my body. Stretching is great.
Lucas P.
I fell awake when I am done doing my stretch, so I can start my day in a good mood.
(Sorry for my bad English, it isn’t my first language)
Roel Q.
For me the stretch just became part of the larger routine of improved habits like drinking water, mediation. The deeper reasons is that I made a firm decision a few weeks ago to take matter in my own have and no longer hope for others to help me to lead a good life. This new insight might end my current 10 year relationship, but it is clear that not making the effort to take care of my self is the worst possible decision. Even if it was an unconscious decision.
Al Xio C.
I know that as the day goes on my body will regret not stretching. On top of that I exercise very little, so I see morning stretching as a way to prepare my body for the day as well as motivation to do a little morning workout
Becky E.
My whole body really hurts right now and I really want to include stretching in my daily routine. I want to change bad feel my body deeply
Ugo O.
What motivates me is that I have the whole day ahead of me and that I get to talk to the people I love. Even if I don’t want to stretch I push myself to so that I can be the better version of myself.
Joan P.
The this that motivates me to strech are my goals in life because i want to attain a healthy lifestyle whereas can be a good practice and a good habit.
Lafemme S.
When I had a friend living with me for a while I never got to do things I wanted to do so now she's left I just wanna become more successful in life theb anything else in like trying to be fit and have more energy and stuff like that and it feels good to be doing fitness
Shalini U.
It’s actually the stretching that makes me get out of bed, if that makes sense. What I mean is, I think “I need to complete this action and so I have to get out of bed” and then when I do stretch I get this spike of energy to not go back into bed and I continue my day.
Tyler O.
The feeling of stretching relieves my stress. It feels like I’m just breaking all the stress away whenever I stretch. If I don’t stretch I feel like I’m being squished together. And I like stretching in general. It also helps me start with the day.
Aldemar Q.
When I don’t want to get out of bed, I remember that I need to stretch. Stretching kick start my day with a positive mindset and refreshed and ready body to complete all my tasks for the day. I will feel more put together once I stretched and maybe even more productive. Stretching is a very good way to relieve stress and tension so the reasons that are causing me to not want to get out of bed may even be resolved by me doing my one minute stretch.
Florival P.
I know that it helps me practice discipline to reach my goals, and missing one session brings me farther away from reaching those goals.
Clara V.
For me it is partly 1- knowing a great cup of coffee or dark hot chocolate awaits me! 2-correct stretches cured my back aches 3- I also am proud to accomplish my little morning routine everyday ad feel better afterwards. Here it is : drink fresh source water, eat fruits and nuts, take vitamins (d, zinc, b), run 5 minutes, stretch 3 minutes, and celebrate with coffee 🙂
Elle Q.
My motivation to stretch even when I don't want to get out of bed is the opportunity to stretch in my bed. Since I know that I can stretch in my bed, I am more motivated to stretch even if it is just for a minute.
Ellie N.
In my case it’s my fibromyalgia, a chronic pain illness. But I would 100% recommend to download Wakeout and… stretch in bed! Blissful feeling! Hope this helps.
Katrine C.
I have a hard time getting up and that’s ok in the beginning but when you do start to get out of bed easily drink some water to hydrate yourself and then stretch like 5 mins after even if it’s just for a minute
Katia T.
Well, for now, I think it’s the pain, the strain in my muscles. I work long hours in front of the computer, and stretching really soothes and relaxes me, it’s something my body welcomes gladly.
Sarah P.
Getting my muscles going with a good stretch is an awesome feeling makes them feel freshened and refreshed loosing the tightness and stiffness have a stretch every chance I can.
Umaimah N.
Well it more like staying in warm bed all day or better to start a good and healthy day so this really motivates me
❤️❤️
Cassie N.
What motivates me to stretch in the morning? Well it’s the feeling afterwards! Once you have done the habits in front of the exercise you start to feel a little waken up! But you have to tell yourself that your going to get up no matter how tough it may be in the morning, like when I woke up I planned on waking up at 8 but instead it was 8:05 so I pushed all the blankets out of my way, got the cup of water off of my desk, and had a couple of sips! Then I walk out of my room and tell myself this will be a good day! That’s how I end up getting motivated to exercise and stretch, because after all it will help you!
남 저스틴 N.
Actually, my back spasms and the quality of satisfactory and sleep that I can get afterwards. Knowing that a few minutes of just moving your muscles and recalibrating the situation of your bones will be worthy and meaningful gives me sudden urge to get out of bed!
Jennifer Q.
I actually never want to stay in bed. I enjoy waking up early, have for years. The peacefulness of the early morning hours makes me want to get up and enjoy my time before the rest of the world wakes up. Stretching has just become part of that peaceful morning time for me.
Eleanor P.
When I don’t want to get out of bed I will start off by stretching in my bed then when I feel more awake I will move to my floor.
Tessa U.
I never really have a problem with getting out of bed I just set a music alarm loud so I have to get out to turn it down so my family doesn’t wake up and then I get the fabulous notification and the first 10 min of every morning I barely do anything so it’s the perfect time
Kapil O.
First of All, it wakes me up completely hehe, so that i don't fall asleep or feel sleepy anymore🙃. Second reason is if i don't stretch, my neck and shoulders starts hurting in very few days, coz i have to study in order to achieve my goals 🔥🔥.
Kayla F.
I just try to take each step of the day at a time, I try and find something that’s happening in the day that I can look forward to even if it is just the littlest thing and I use that to get me out of bed and start the day good, I have bad days as well but staying in a healthy routine has been really helping me recently.
Jade N.
Honestly, I just know that if I don’t at least stretch for a bit before getting out of my bed I will feel sleepy and be more kin to stay in bed. So I stretch a bit. Moreover it helps me with my back pain because I’m starting to think someone is beating me up while I’m sleeping!
Sameera N.
I think i am physically unfit as i have no physical activities sceduled at home. My commitment to future self make me get out of my comfort zone to perform stretch.
Jane Y.
I just push myselfz I think about regretting not doing it today and then the next day something comes up do I didn't get to stretch
Tamara T.
When I feel the sense of irritations I stop to think sometimes I’ll want to get up and move around a bit, or feel a burst of energy I’ll normally do little arm stretches or go on a small walk
Aisha N.
What motivates me is the feeling that comes after doing something that has been like a heavy weight on you. The happiness I feel after completing everything on my to-do list.
Nicholas Z.
I feel good vibes flowing through my body after drinking water and playing a morning meditation. They motivate me to get out of bed and elongate my body to really feel the effects of mediation and then I realize I've stretched without putting too much effort into thinking about it.
Angel Marie R.
I would drink water and sit on the side of my bed for 10 min and catch my breath. I would read a book or write in my journal cause it makes my calm. Then I would start to stretch so I can get out of bed and make breakfast.
Melissa U.
I always think what will be better for me in the future by doing it now in the present , and I’ve been doing micro stretching like cracking my knuckles for many years of my life so it would be easier for me to do stretches daily 🙂
Dylan T.
What motivates me to stretch in the morning is that stretching is good for you bones and yourself it makes you feel relax
Andresa C.
It makes my body feel good and aware at the same time. It’s the easiest thing to do in the morning because we self taught how to stretch since childhood and thinking that it’s not that much of a difference now helps me not to overthink it and just do it as an involuntary ritual.
