What helps you most in not giving into guilty pleasures?

For me I drink some water and or get busy with something like washing the dishes or sweeping the floor . . . make a cup of tea . . . go for a walk . . . getting busy helps me.

Remembering how I felt the last times I gave in to it. It involves taking a time to reflect on it every time you do give in, but it is what works best for me.

I to anticipate as much as I can beforehand: for example, if I think that’s I will snack between meals, I put some nuts or a fruit in my backpack.

Haha what do you mean about guilty pleasures? I guess if you enjoy it then that’s fine, but if you don’t feel good doing it then maybe reconsider it? For me, I just do the things I like so exercise, walks and yoga helps 🙂

I struggle with this a lot too! Something that helps me sometimes is counting “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” in my head and then walking away from the source of the guilty pleasure (if it’s a junk food, walk away from the kitchen, if it’s a tv show walk away from the tv, etc.). I often forgot to use this strategy, but when I remember it works. Hope that helps!

I am giving into guilty pleasures and I don't feel bad knowing that I generally care for myself and I am ok with my duties. But to not overdo them I keep a mindset of "If I regularly give into guilty pleasures, at some point they stop being a pleasure at all"

Reward or something like that. I use fastic for intermittent fasting. You see what kind of things are happening in your body. How can you start eating if your body just started to work on renewing cells? That helps me.

Talking to myself… You probably cringed right now, but guilty pleasures come from our head when we are bored and actually we dont need those habits. So next time when you feel the urge to get into one of your guilty pleasures, talk to Yourself. Ask a question to Yourself: "Do I need this.. do I actually need this?" And be strong! Look into the mirror and remind Yourself of what You want to acchieve and why You want changes.
But all of this sounds only good on paper, actually I myself am at the beginning of my journey and still have a lot of work to do on myself. So for now I take one step at a time and go with the flow of this app to work my way to desired outcome.
Be strong and good luck!
