Struggling to sleep with the lights on can disrupt your rest. Start by creating a calming bedtime routine: dim the lights an hour before sleep, practice deep breathing, or read a book. Gradually reduce light exposure by using blackout curtains or an eye mask. Establish a consistent sleep schedule by going to bed and waking up at the same time daily. Consider relaxation techniques like meditation or gentle stretching to ease your mind. These rituals can help you develop healthier sleep habits and improve your overall well-being.

I also have a hard sleeping at hard times and with lights off. It ha happens to me because of the excitement of the nervous system. So to help me sleep, I would use some sort of calming practice - for me, oddly enough, that turns out to be drinking green tea before bed
