Sleep helps regulates your metabolism, and you're always burning calories, but you actually burn less while you're asleep. This is one of the reasons you shouldn't eat to closely to bed, especially anything sugary.

Sleeping does burn some calories but of course not as many as working out. It is still really important to work out regularly and of course to eat healthy and don’t eat 3-4 hours before you go to bed because your digestive system isn’t active when you sleep so you will gain more weight if you eat before bed.

Yes. How many calories are burned depends on various factors, such as your weight and how many hours you sleep during the night. The body requires energy for each and every one of its functions, so you can say everything burns calories even a little bit!

Yes, your body actually burns a lot of calories during sleep for basic functions and keeping the body temperature. However the more active you are the more calories you burn. It all depends on your goals 🙂
