Most people I know use some form of light on the way, they look stupid but help. If you’re still uncomfortable with the darkness, try finding a well lit path through cities or a path next to a road where enough cars pass to make it lighter. If none of that makes you feel safe, it’s probably a good idea to go later in the day, maybe your lunch break if you can have a shower right after. Depending on when you get out of work that might be the only time you can actually go for a run with daylight.
