Be okay with your mind wandering. Acknowledge it, accept it, and go back to meditating. Focus on your breath. Don’t get mad at your mind for doing what it was made to do. Take it minute by minute and increase a little each day. It will get easier!

Yes, you have to simply understand that meditation is this thing. Bringing your wandering mind back to the present moment by attaching yourself to a sound, your breath or w/e you want. It's a continuous mind workout. Your mind is like a muscle and meditation the exercise that strengthen it. You don't stop running after 1min just because you felt tired.
