I try to meditate twice a day – right after sleep and before I go to bed. Since I'm a beginner I do 5 minutes of kirtan and then 5-10 minutes of meditation.

I am new to meditation, so I have been trying to make it as easy as possible for myself by meditating for five minutes at the start of my day- that way, time is not an excuse I can use, and I won't accidentally forget later. Good luck as you keep on!

10 minutes is all it takes, and meditate shortly after exercising. Usually for me it goes… wake up, drink water, exercise, drink water, meditate.

On days I work I will sometimes meditate for a shorter period of time, around 5 to 10 minutes. I do it in the evening. When I am off I will try to do a longer time, 15 to 20 minutes usually. I may do it earlier in the day if I can, usually mid morning. Otherwise it will be in the evening.
I think the best time depends on your energy level and ability to focus. I avoid times I am too sleepy.
