How long should I meditate at a time to make it effective?

Meditation requires a little bit of time, but any time to take out of the day for yourself is perfect. 1 minute of getting control over yourself if better than going all day with no break. For me, I follow similar practices of za zen, or other meditations, typically 25-45 mins, while others can range from that time to 2-3 hours. But most importantly, to make it effective, 5 minutes is perfect to make it effective as well as not feel so burnt out to not want to do it again.
