Meditation is in everything and you can meditate at all times. You just need to notice when a thought interrupts your focus, and when you do, you have to detach yourself from the thought with or without judging it.
It is not as easy as anyone supposes. Thus, it is recommended to practice it for some time everyday. So when you forget about it, it doesn't help you anymore. To prevent this, you should either set a reminder or write it on a piece of paper and stick it on the wall you see first when you wake up.
