How do you stick to the meditation habit?
Sticking to a meditation habit requires consistency and patience. Start with just a few minutes each day and gradually increase the duration. Create a dedicated space for meditation to establish a routine. Consider pairing meditation with another daily activity, like morning coffee, to strengthen the habit. Use reminders to prompt you and reflect on the benefits you experience, which will motivate you to continue. Remember, it’s about progress, not perfection, so be gentle with yourself as you build this meaningful daily ritual.
Me, personally, I struggle EXTREMELY with severe stress and anxiety, especially before sleep when I have something important the next day, usually (but not always) school related, since I’m still a student. Meditation before sleep (because that’s when I meditate) helps me to ground myself/ be present and let go of the day, I basically stop myself from thinking about the future or the past and that always manages to calm my mind and I can actually fall asleep, not have thoughts Olympics. So whenever I think about skipping this part, I remember how nice and calming it is to do so and that always gets me to do it. Maybe you can apply this to your situation. Somehow, at least. Have a great rest of your day/night, fellow Fabulous user.
Just wanted to do it. It’s stress releasing and it feels good. I have enough time to do it. The 4 minutes start videos helped alot
