How do you pull away from the urge to scroll?
To pull away from the urge to scroll, start by setting specific times for social media use. Create a ritual around these times, such as enjoying a cup of tea or going for a walk before or after. Use habit stacking: pair scrolling with another activity that promotes mindfulness, like journaling about your day. Gradually reduce your scrolling time, replacing it with activities that nourish your well-being. Remember, disconnecting and unplugging is essential for cultivating lasting healthy habits.
As of lately, Ive actually had a pretty hard time looking away from screen, but id like to improve in that. I think the best way is by going for a walk or listening to music and just focusing in the moment.
I set a time and schedule for myself and stay integral to myself and my word. If I find that I start scrolling, I take note, immediately reset and shift to something more productive like reading, or anything that advances my goals. Its a constant practice and reminder, and shifting. Recognizing, resetting and realignment with what serves me.
Uninstalling apps that I spend a long time in and focusing in other activities, like read, watch movies, study. And installing Fabulous.
